Wine and cuisine
The country's cuisine is influenced by its diverse cultural heritage and mainly by its British heritage, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. New Zealand has gained international recognition for its wine production, particularly Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region. Other notable varieties include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling.
